In the 7th minute, Dimitris Tsiblidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Theofilos Kefaloulis from long distance, 8 minutes into the match, got Stratos Ntouvaridis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 10th minute Fokas Papafanakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thodoris Velakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Vounoplagiá's Manolis Kastanidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thodoris Velakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Manolis Kastanidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kostas Dermitzakis's late challenge caught a Vounoplagiá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kostas Dermitzakis helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in ΠΑΟΚ GT fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Apostolis Kostopoulos shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolis Kostopoulos in the 20th minute of play forced ΠΑΟΚ GT's goalkeeper Thodoris Velakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manolis Kastanidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thodoris Velakis having to interfere. In the 30th minute, ΠΑΟΚ GT's Trifon Antoniou ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stratos Ntouvaridis. Stratos Ntouvaridis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 39thth minute of the game Fokas Papafanakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ΠΑΟΚ GT's Thodoris Velakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Konstantinos Panagiotas fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ΠΑΟΚ GT's protests and gave Konstantinos Panagiotas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vounoplagiá booed when ΠΑΟΚ GT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantinos Panagiotas didn't get a good kick on the ball. ΠΑΟΚ GT's Thodoris Velakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fokas Papafanakis in the 43rd minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Stratos Ntouvaridis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantinos Panagiotas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fokas Papafanakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Thodoris Velakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fokas Papafanakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thodoris Velakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fokas Papafanakis ran back to his position shaking his head. ΠΑΟΚ GT's Thodoris Velakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolis Kastanidis in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to ΠΑΟΚ GT getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Aggelos Kalokliros hit a great ball. Thodoris Velakis was a little too slow when Manolis Kastanidis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 69th minute, Konstantinos Panagiotas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Vounoplagiá's Fokas Papafanakis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thodoris Velakis. That made the score 1-3 after 70 minutes of play. 75 minutes into the match, Vounoplagiá's goal looked a bit too open when Trifon Antoniou came free, but Stratos Ntouvaridis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ GT's goal looked a bit too open when Manolis Kastanidis came free, but Thodoris Velakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Konstantinos Panagiotas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fokas Papafanakis in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thodoris Velakis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Trifon Antoniou succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. When the final whistle sounded Vounoplagiá left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ΠΑΟΚ GT.
