Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Grigoris Akrivakos got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Oropus's Thomas Xanthidis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Royal Eagles getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Achilleas Kalakos hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Oropus's Giannis Stamatopoulos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dimitris Symeonidis. Dimitris Symeonidis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Dimitris Symeonidis was a little too slow when Themistoklis Antonatos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 3-0. 13 minutes into the match, Oropus's Giannis Piperoglou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimitris Symeonidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giannis Piperoglou got free with Dimitris Symeonidis in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giannis Piperoglou who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Dimitris Symeonidis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Stratos Adamakos hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Dimitris Symeonidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Themistoklis Antonatos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giannis Piperoglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Dimitris Symeonidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Royal Eagles's Stavros Nebegleras got a free kick in the 29th minute. With a little luck, Royal Eagles's Dimitris Symeonidis got control of the ball when Giannis Piperoglou tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Themistoklis Antonatos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giannis Piperoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Royal Eagles's Dimitris Symeonidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themistoklis Antonatos in the 37th minute of play. Giannis Piperoglou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dimitris Symeonidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themistoklis Antonatos in the 42nd minute of play. If Themistoklis Antonatos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themistoklis Antonatos in the 47th minute of play forced Royal Eagles's goalkeeper Dimitris Symeonidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Themistoklis Antonatos made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Royal Eagles's Grigoris Akrivakos got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Giannis Piperoglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Dimitris Symeonidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Stratos Adamakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Oropus's Giannis Stamatopoulos tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Piperoglou in the 62nd minute of play forced Royal Eagles's goalkeeper Dimitris Symeonidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Royal Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Piperoglou came free, but Dimitris Symeonidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Themistoklis Antonatos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Grigoris Akrivakos charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grigoris Akrivakos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Grigoris Akrivakos hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Oropus's Giannis Piperoglou got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Oropus fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Oropus's Themistoklis Antonatos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Giannis Piperoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Symeonidis having to interfere. Dimitris Symeonidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Piperoglou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Giannis Piperoglou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dimitris Symeonidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. There was no doubt that Oropus were the better team. Oropus's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
