Oropus's Nasos Papachristakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Oropus from getting a goal against them. With his leg Nasos Papachristakis managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Koulinaiika's Nontas Kanonidis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Koulinaiika's Markos Makas got a free kick in the 42nd minute. When Oropus's Giannis Piperoglou in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Koulinaiika's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oropus the free kick.
