Michalis Charalambidis came out of the goal and Simos Kominidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandros Georgakis kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Marinos Vlachos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanasis Kourkoulis hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The supporters of NEAR EAST booed when Kassiteraν FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lambis Varelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Petros Zanidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. NEAR EAST's Thomas Bachramis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kassiteraν FC. In the 37th minute Simos Kominidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michalis Charalambidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iakovos Katsantonis during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iakovos Katsantonis hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Marinos Vlachos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NEAR EAST's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marinos Vlachos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marinos Vlachos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Michalis Charalambidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marinos Vlachos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michalis Charalambidis having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Marinos Vlachos in the 83rd minute of play forced Kassiteraν FC's goalkeeper Michalis Charalambidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kassiteraν FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marinos Vlachos 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Aimilios Leontokardos might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michalis Charalambidis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aimilios Leontokardos ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Kassiteraν FC booed when NEAR EAST was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikolas Tsakiroglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. NEAR EAST's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
