The goal made the score 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, panatliakos's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Barto came free, but Dimosthenis Thanopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dimosthenis Thanopoulos came out of the goal and Gustavo Barto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83rd play minutes Gustavo Barto shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Dimosthenis Thanopoulos and just under the crossbar into goal. Gustavo Barto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dimosthenis Thanopoulos having to make a save. Stelios Venetis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dimosthenis Thanopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, panatliakos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kleon Kapranos to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that ΠΑΕ ΠΑΟΚ were the better team. ΠΑΕ ΠΑΟΚ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
