Kosmas Niniadis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute Thanos Koumantarakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kosmas Niniadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes of play, Mavráta's Petros Tsioridis made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kosmas Niniadis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Themis Lentis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tasos Koumantarakis having to interfere. Petros Tsioridis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Petros Tsioridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vνsantskon BC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Dionysis Diamantidis hit a great ball. When Mavráta's Thanos Koumantarakis in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vνsantskon BC's goalie prevented a goal. If Thanos Koumantarakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kosmas Niniadis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petros Tsioridis in the 29th minute. Vνsantskon BC's Kosmas Niniadis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Vνsantskon BC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Mavráta defense, Themis Lentis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tasos Koumantarakis. The Mavráta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tasos Koumantarakis should have stopped the shot. Themis Lentis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Themis Lentis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Mavráta's Thanos Koumantarakis in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 63rd minute of the match Anastasios Stratakos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kosmas Niniadis skillfully saved the ball. Kosmas Niniadis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petros Tsioridis, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mavráta's zone, Themis Lentis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tasos Koumantarakis came out of the goal and Themis Lentis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute Themis Lentis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tasos Koumantarakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute Theodosis Kiprakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kosmas Niniadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute Themis Lentis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tasos Koumantarakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Mavráta's Thanos Koumantarakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kosmas Niniadis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 80th minute, Kostas Orfanidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Minas Karkavilas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 4-2 became the score in the 84th minute when Themis Lentis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanos Koumantarakis scored 5-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kosmas Niniadis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mavráta fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vνsantskon BC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
