But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zinon Kalaitzopoulos couldn't finish the play. In the 16th match minute, AIANTAS AENP ATHENS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iakovos Krasakis to maneuver through the defense. Stratos Bouloubasis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Periklis Katevatis's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 24th minute, Zinon Kalaitzopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Argyris Patoulas hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Manousakis in the 34th minute of play forced Kouvarαs's goalkeeper Anastasios Dabizas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iakovos Krasakis took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anastasios Dabizas. Anastasios Dabizas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Kouvarαs's Anastasios Dabizas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zinon Kalaitzopoulos in the 44th minute of play.

The wind increased when Isidoros Sotirakis made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kouvarαs's goalkeeper Anastasios Dabizas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Isidoros Sotirakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louis Renieris kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. AIANTAS AENP ATHENS made a substitution. Christos Santamouris replaced Paris Mavroudis. AIANTAS AENP ATHENS's Sotiris Koubaras was substituted for Zinon Kalaitzopoulos. In the 86th minute, Iakovos Krasakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 minutes, Sotiris Koubaras made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Kouvarαs's Anastasios Dabizas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
