Bogdan Glogowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Ronald Maerschalcx made a huge save. With his leg Ronald Maerschalcx managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when APE KJIREAS's Zulfikar Sangaji fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 10 minutes of play, APE KJIREAS's Bogdan Glogowski made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronald Maerschalcx was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dimitris Panagiotopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Achilleas Sapanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charalambos Nikopolidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Vaios Kladakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varαkkes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave APE KJIREAS the free kick. A collision led to Varαkkes getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Vaios Kladakis hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the game, Zulfikar Sangaji cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ronald Maerschalcx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Achilleas Sapanis in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charalambos Nikopolidis saved APE KJIREAS from getting behind. Varαkkes:s Ronald Maerschalcx showed great skill when he stopped Zulfikar Sangaji:s penalty. The supporters of APE KJIREAS booed when Varαkkes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vaios Kladakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ntinos Kaiafas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Zulfikar Sangaji had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronald Maerschalcx. Varαkkes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zulfikar Sangaji was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 48th minute, APE KJIREAS's Bogdan Glogowski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronald Maerschalcx. Ronald Maerschalcx yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vassilis Pavlatos to make the kick off. A collision led to APE KJIREAS getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Bogdan Glogowski hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zulfikar Sangaji in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronald Maerschalcx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, APE KJIREAS's Zulfikar Sangaji got a free kick in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Vassilis Pavlatos notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of APE KJIREAS's Charalambos Nikopolidis. Charalambos Nikopolidis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vassilis Pavlatos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Charalambos Nikopolidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitris Panagiotopoulos took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronald Maerschalcx. Ronald Maerschalcx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Panagiotopoulos in the 78th minute of play forced Varαkkes's goalkeeper Ronald Maerschalcx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zulfikar Sangaji had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When APE KJIREAS's Bogdan Glogowski in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varαkkes's goalie prevented a goal. APE KJIREAS's Dimitris Panagiotopoulos has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 84th minute. APE KJIREAS's Theagenis Meraklis was substituted for Ntinos Kaiafas. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dimitris Panagiotopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. APE KJIREAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimitris Panagiotopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronald Maerschalcx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zulfikar Sangaji might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronald Maerschalcx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zulfikar Sangaji ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Varαkkes's goalkeeper Ronald Maerschalcx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dimitris Panagiotopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th match minute, APE KJIREAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Sioufas to maneuver through the defense.
