West side story's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dimos Vellidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pipis Psarros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Giorgos Kechagias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of West side story booed when Mιtsovo BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimos Vellidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pipis Psarros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the game, Takis Kagouras cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Minas Katsiaros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tasos Geropappas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Minas Katsiaros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Minas Katsiaros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takis Kagouras in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Takis Kagouras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Takis Kagouras put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Minas Katsiaros. Dimos Vellidis hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Tasos Geropappas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The wind increased when Petros Ladas made the kick off in the second half. Giorgos Kechagias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pipis Psarros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Takis Kagouras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to West side story getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Petros Ladas hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, West side story's Petros Ladas fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Giorgos Kechagias was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mιtsovo BC's zone, Pipis Psarros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giorgos Kechagias came out of the goal and Pipis Psarros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the game, Petros Ladas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Giorgos Kechagias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 71 minutes of play, Mιtsovo BC's Takis Kagouras made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Minas Katsiaros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tasos Geropappas might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Minas Katsiaros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tasos Geropappas ran back to his position shaking his head. Tasos Geropappas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Minas Katsiaros having to make a save. In the 80th minute, Miltiadis Okkas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute, Tasos Geropappas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petros Ladas in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giorgos Kechagias saved Mιtsovo BC from getting behind. 87 minutes into the match, Petros Ladas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giorgos Kechagias. Mιtsovo BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petros Ladas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mιtsovo BC's goalkeeper Giorgos Kechagias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Pipis Psarros managed to get in a good position for a shot. West side story's supporters rose to their feet, but Pipis Psarros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Kechagias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giorgos Kechagias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petros Ladas, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Mιtsovo BC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
