The goalkeeper, Minas Katsiaros, was totally fooled by Kermenlν FC's Giannis Papadimitriou, who 10 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Kermenlν FC's Vassilis Paralikis got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Vrasidas Zacharakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th match minute, West side story was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miltiadis Okkas to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Giannis Papadimitriou sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and West side story's Minas Katsiaros didn't even have to move. Stamatis Balarinas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. West side story's Minas Katsiaros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save West side story from getting a goal against them. Miltiadis Okkas hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Kermenlν FC's Stamatis Balarinas got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nikos Panteloulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, West side story's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Panteloulis came free, but Minas Katsiaros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Malliaros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipis Psarros in the 43rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in West side story's zone, Stamatis Balarinas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Minas Katsiaros came out of the goal and Stamatis Balarinas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nikos Panteloulis was the one to do the kick off. Petros Ladas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute Petros Ladas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Malliaros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Nikos Panteloulis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Minas Katsiaros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Panteloulis in the 62nd minute of play. Argyris Samaras kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Nikos Panteloulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Minas Katsiaros having to interfere. Stamatis Balarinas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Minas Katsiaros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Stamatis Balarinas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kermenlν FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stamatis Balarinas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Nikos Panteloulis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Minas Katsiaros was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 81 minutes into the match, West side story's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Panteloulis came free, but Minas Katsiaros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Minas Katsiaros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stamatis Balarinas in the 82nd minute of the match. Minas Katsiaros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Panteloulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Stamatis Balarinas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Minas Katsiaros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
