Menidi City's Nikos Papadamopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogenis Panagis in the 3rd minute of play. In the 3rd minute, Diogenis Panagis made a precise shot to the right of Nikos Papadamopoulos. Menidi City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 6th minute, Akis Zervidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Savas Chatzios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Menidi City booed when Fragko BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vaios Kafritzakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Lazaros Giannopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fragko BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lazaros Giannopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikos Papadamopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 minutes of play, Fragko BC's Diogenis Panagis made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikos Papadamopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the game, Akis Zervidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fragko BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Menidi City the free kick. Minas Gitsioudis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stavros Kastanakoglou in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fragko BC's Kostas Kontopoulos got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Stavros Kastanakoglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lazaros Giannopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Menidi City's Nikos Papadamopoulos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 68 played minutes Fragko BC got a freekick which was hit by Vaios Tochouroglou. The audience was convinced that Lazaros Giannopoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikos Papadamopoulos was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Diogenis Panagis struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Nikos Papadamopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fragko BC. Nikos Papadamopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lazaros Giannopoulos in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Diogenis Panagis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Diogenis Panagis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, Menidi City's goal looked a bit too open when Diogenis Panagis came free, but Nikos Papadamopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diogenis Panagis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikos Papadamopoulos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Stavros Kastanakoglou struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Minas Gitsioudis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Akis Zervidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fragko BC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Menidi City for a fine match.
