In the 8thth minute of the game Savas Chatzios who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ΠΗΓΑΣΟΣ F.C's Knut Sundin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When ΠΗΓΑΣΟΣ F.C's Thalis Kalapodas in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thalis Kalapodas might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikos Papadamopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. One of Menidi City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ΠΗΓΑΣΟΣ F.C:s goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Savas Chatzios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Knut Sundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Stavros Kastanakoglou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Knut Sundin. With a little luck, Menidi City's Nikos Papadamopoulos got control of the ball when Orestis Kamaras tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Savas Chatzios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Thalis Kalapodas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Papadamopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thalis Kalapodas in the 87th minute of play forced Menidi City's goalkeeper Nikos Papadamopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thalis Kalapodas in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nikos Papadamopoulos saved Menidi City from getting behind. Knut Sundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stavros Kastanakoglou in the 99th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ΠΗΓΑΣΟΣ F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
