Spectators: 7612 (Terracing: 5750, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Per Fredriksson got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, A.E.K.'s Grégory Édel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Themis Kazazis. Themis Kazazis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Markos Polymerou fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kostaréïka FC's protests and gave Markos Polymerou a yellow card for diving instead. Kostaréïka FC made a substitution. Anastasios Sarlis replaced Markos Polymerou. Per Fredriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Themis Kazazis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Anastasios Sarlis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spyros Papanastasis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Per Fredriksson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Themis Kazazis. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. After a rather tough play, A.E.K.'s Giannis Pachatouridis got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When Anastasios Sarlis, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 24 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Spyros Papanastasis was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Per Fredriksson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Themis Kazazis. That made the score 3-0 in the 26 minute of play. The supporters of Kostaréïka FC booed when A.E.K. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleftherios Papoutsidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per Fredriksson in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Themis Kazazis saved Kostaréïka FC from getting behind. In the 34th minute of the match A.E.K. got a corner. Kostaréïka FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Grégory Édel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anastasios Sarlis in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Spyros Papanastasis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kostaréïka FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Evaggelos Chiotis scored to the left of an out of position Themis Kazazis, making the score, 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anastasios Sarlis to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Kostaréïka FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manos Symeonas came free, but Themis Kazazis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per Fredriksson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Themis Kazazis having to make a save. Themis Kazazis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grégory Édel in the 62nd minute of the match. Themis Kazazis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaggelos Chiotis went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. If Grégory Édel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, one of A.E.K.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A.E.K.. Themis Kazazis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaggelos Chiotis went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-3 was the resulting score. Anastasios Sarlis came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Spyros Papanastasis could save by the left post. In the 89th match minute, A.E.K. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manos Symeonas to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to A.E.K. getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Manos Symeonas hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, A.E.K.'s goalkeeper Spyros Papanastasis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anastasios Sarlis. Evaggelos Chiotis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themis Kazazis having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Kostaréïka FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evaggelos Chiotis came free, but Themis Kazazis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. A.E.K. had played much better football throughout.
