Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The tension between the Kourtési and the Chavárion players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Chavárion booed when Kourtési was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panos Kalofolias didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Kyriakos Vekris came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Chavárion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kyriakos Vekris couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Charalambos Papastergiou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trifon Karaliopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valerios Marselis got free with Nikiforos Tsimidakis in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Kourtési's zone, Stamatis Papadamopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giorgos Serelis came out of the goal and Stamatis Papadamopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kyriakos Vekris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Giorgos Serelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Apostolos Asimakoglou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kourtési and the Chavárion players grew even worse after the yellow card. Apostolos Asimakoglou kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Pavlos Stathoulias's late challenge caught a Chavárion's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pavlos Stathoulias helped the player get up and apologised. Pavlos Stathoulias hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Giorgos Serelis came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Chavárion's Stamatis Papadamopoulos. But to his dismay, Stamatis Papadamopoulos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kyriakos Vekris to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, one of Kourtési:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kourtési. Nikiforos Tsimidakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panos Kalofolias, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Stamatis Papadamopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chavárion would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
