Dimosthenis Vasakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karpino FC's Trifon Kyrgiakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loukas Brilakis in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Karpino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Loukas Brilakis came free, but Trifon Kyrgiakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trifon Kyrgiakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukas Brilakis in the 38th minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trifon Kyrgiakos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Karpino FC defense, Paschalis Bourekas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trifon Kyrgiakos. The Karpino FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trifon Kyrgiakos should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Gαsi's zone, Dimosthenis Vasakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valerios Papadimidis came out of the goal and Dimosthenis Vasakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Karpino FC booed when Gαsi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Themistoklis Peropoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Sofoklis Tsogas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valerios Papadimidis was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
