The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sokratis Tsiblidis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Paschalis Meletakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kutunjalí FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paschalis Meletakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sokratis Tsiblidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nikos Kousas made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Michalis Kalifoulis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kelekia F.C and the Kutunjalí FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kutunjalí FC booed when Kelekia F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michalis Kalifoulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Antonis Balatsouras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iraklis Stathatos was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Apostolos Mouratis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sokratis Tsiblidis having to interfere. Nikos Kousas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Sokratis Tsiblidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Kelekia F.C got a freekick which was hit by Michalis Kalifoulis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Kousas in the 74th minute of play forced Kelekia F.C's goalkeeper Sokratis Tsiblidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Kelekia F.C's goalkeeper Sokratis Tsiblidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Apostolos Mouratis. Ntinos Voulgaris's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iraklis Stathatos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. If Nikos Kousas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kutunjalí FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
