An unexpectedly hard shot by Lakis Panagiotopoulos in the 12th minute of play forced Agíasma FC's goalkeeper Pavlos Balatsouras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fredric Lindgren kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Ntinos Steliadis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prodromos Vournas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stratos Barberis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Agíasma FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manos Stefanakos got free with Prodromos Vournas in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Prodromos Vournas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theodosis Soulakas in the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Ivan Praporgescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pavlos Balatsouras. Agíasma FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Praporgescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Praporgescu in the 43rd minute of play forced Agíasma FC's goalkeeper Pavlos Balatsouras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Asteras were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lakis Panagiotopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavlos Balatsouras having to interfere. Pavlos Balatsouras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Praporgescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Pavlos Balatsouras stood somewhat misplaced when Lakis Panagiotopoulos came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 57 minute. Pavlos Balatsouras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Praporgescu in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Asteras booed when Agíasma FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Soulis Sapounopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Agíasma FC got a freekick which was hit by Ntinos Steliadis. In the 65th minute, Kostas Karagiotakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Ove Mattsson scored 0-5 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pavlos Balatsouras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 80 minutes, Karl-Ove Mattsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Asteras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Ove Mattsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 83 played minutes Ivan Praporgescu rounded Agíasma FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-6. Ivan Praporgescu struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Pavlos Balatsouras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Asteras.
