Syraikos FC's Panagiotis Saravalakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akakios Kitrinidis in the 5th minute of play. Vassilis Logothetis struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Panagiotis Saravalakos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arbaouti. Stavros Kelaidonis hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Vassilis Logothetis could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Panagiotis Saravalakos however easily saved by the left post. Vassilis Logothetis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panagiotis Saravalakos having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Syraikos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stavros Kelaidonis to maneuver through the defense. Apostolos Bonos came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Syraikos FC's Paris Karousakis. But to his dismay, Paris Karousakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Syraikos FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Charilaos Markomichalis hit a great ball. Panagiotis Saravalakos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Akakios Kitrinidis's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Akakios Kitrinidis to make the kick off. Vassilis Logothetis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Panagiotis Saravalakos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. After 53 played minutes Arbaouti got a freekick which was hit by Marinos Patakos. Akakios Kitrinidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Panagiotis Saravalakos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Akakios Kitrinidis ran back to his position shaking his head. After 63 played minutes Syraikos FC got a freekick which was hit by Charilaos Markomichalis. After some careless play in the Syraikos FC defense, Vassilis Logothetis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Panagiotis Saravalakos. The Syraikos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Panagiotis Saravalakos should have stopped the shot. Panagiotis Saravalakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vassilis Logothetis in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th match minute, Syraikos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charilaos Markomichalis to maneuver through the defense. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, Arbaouti's Akakios Kitrinidis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Panagiotis Saravalakos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Panagiotis Saravalakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vassilis Logothetis in the 93rd minute of the match. Vassilis Logothetis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Panagiotis Saravalakos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Syraikos FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Arbaouti.
