Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Viktor Benke made the kick off which started today's match. Alexis Belevonis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Koulis Psikos firmly grabbed it by the left post. Orestis Mitrou kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Koulis Psikos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Kabantais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Athletic Athens getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Fotis Stefanou hit a great ball. Siαta's Pavlos Kanaris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Benke in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match Athletic Athens got a corner. Siαta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christoforos Giannikos ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Athletic Athens's corner Christoforos Giannikos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pavlos Kanaris quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Kabantais in the 20th minute of play forced Athletic Athens's goalkeeper Koulis Psikos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Koulis Psikos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Themis Serdaris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Koulis Psikos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themis Serdaris in the 28th minute of play. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Viktor Benke sped through Siαta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pavlos Kanaris. After a rather tough play, Siαta's Nikos Kabantais got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Siαta's goalkeeper Pavlos Kanaris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Andreas Poursanidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Athletic Athens's supporters rose to their feet, but Andreas Poursanidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavlos Kanaris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andreas Poursanidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikos Kabantais to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christos Pekos in the 54th minute of play forced Athletic Athens's goalkeeper Koulis Psikos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viktor Benke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Pavlos Kanaris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pavlos Kanaris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Poursanidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Athletic Athens booed when Siαta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sotiris Kalinis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viktor Benkes short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Pavlos Kanaris to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 63 minutes into the match, Siαta's goalkeeper Pavlos Kanaris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viktor Benke. A collision led to Athletic Athens getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Fotis Stefanou hit a great ball. Koulis Psikos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikos Kabantais, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. When Viktor Benke came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Athletic Athens fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Benke couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Orestis Mitrou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Viktor Benke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christos Pekos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koulis Psikos having to interfere. Viktor Benke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sotiris Kalinis hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Siαta had won after a very even match.
