After 6 played minutes Tsakartsianoϊ got a freekick which was hit by Valerios Eleftheropoulos. 9 minutes into the match, Vrasidas Kaloutas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giannis Kyriakiadis. Tsakartsianoϊ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vrasidas Kaloutas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Spyros Ritsos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giannis Kyriakiadis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Spyros Ritsos's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Vaḯtsia BC's Spyros Ritsos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giannis Kyriakiadis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Spyros Ritsos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giannis Kyriakiadis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes of play, Vaḯtsia BC's Vrasidas Kaloutas made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giannis Kyriakiadis was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Spyros Ritsos in the 21st minute of play forced Tsakartsianoϊ's goalkeeper Giannis Kyriakiadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giannis Kyriakiadis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vrasidas Kaloutas in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spyros Ritsos in the 31st minute of play forced Tsakartsianoϊ's goalkeeper Giannis Kyriakiadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michalis Adamos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Michalis Krassanakis came out and tried to block the shot, but Michalis Adamos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kostas Grigoros got free with Michalis Krassanakis in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Vaḯtsia BC's Themistoklis Panteliadis in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tsakartsianoϊ's goalie prevented a goal. If Spyros Ritsos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giannis Kyriakiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Spyros Ritsos in the 42nd minute of play. Vrasidas Kaloutas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Minas Zouganelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giannis Kyriakiadis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Minas Zouganelis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute, Minas Zouganelis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vaḯtsia BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The Tsakartsianoϊ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vaḯtsia BC were winning 1-4.

Vrasidas Kaloutas struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Giannis Kyriakiadis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vaḯtsia BC. In the 57th play minute Spyros Ritsos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Giannis Kyriakiadis. 1-5. Vrasidas Kaloutas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Giannis Kyriakiadis came out and tried to block the shot, but Vrasidas Kaloutas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 62nd minute. With a little luck, Tsakartsianoϊ's Giannis Kyriakiadis got control of the ball when Spyros Ritsos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute, Spyros Ritsos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giannis Kyriakiadis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. After some careless play in the Tsakartsianoϊ defense, Minas Zouganelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giannis Kyriakiadis. The Tsakartsianoϊ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giannis Kyriakiadis should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Tsakartsianoϊ getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Valentinos Kavallieratos hit a great ball. Michalis Krassanakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentinos Kavallieratos, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Tsakartsianoϊ's Sakis Aggelakos got a free kick in the 81st minute. Vaḯtsia BC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kostas Giannou in the 84th minute. When Spyros Ritsos came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Vaḯtsia BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Spyros Ritsos couldn't finish the play. After having played for 92 minutes, Spyros Ritsos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaḯtsia BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Spyros Ritsos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute of the match, Spyros Ritsos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Giannis Kyriakiadis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Takis Valavanidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Giannis Kyriakiadis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Vaḯtsia BC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tsakartsianoϊ throughout the match.
