Vaḯtsia BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vrasidas Kaloutas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kyriakos Papoutsakos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Spyros Ritsos in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kyriakos Papoutsakos saved Porto Leone from getting behind. Vaḯtsia BC's Michalis Krassanakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Vaḯtsia BC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Vaḯtsia BC's Minas Zouganelis got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Vaḯtsia BC's Takis Valavanidis got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vrasidas Kaloutas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kyriakos Papoutsakos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Telis Karnezis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Porto Leone's goalkeeper Kyriakos Papoutsakos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Porto Leone's Kyriakos Papoutsakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spyros Ritsos in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 51 played minutes Vaḯtsia BC got a freekick which was hit by Telis Karnezis. Minas Zouganelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 58th minute, Spyros Ritsos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Porto Leone's Kyriakos Papoutsakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Minas Zouganelis in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Vrasidas Kaloutas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antonis Katergiannakis hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Kostas Giannou took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kyriakos Papoutsakos. Porto Leone's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kyriakos Papoutsakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Takis Valavanidis in the 78th minute. A collision led to Porto Leone getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Vaggelis Kostakis hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Porto Leone defense, Vrasidas Kaloutas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kyriakos Papoutsakos. The Porto Leone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kyriakos Papoutsakos should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Vaḯtsia BC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Telis Karnezis hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andreas Kyriakakis during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 91st minute, when Vaḯtsia BC's Themistoklis Panteliadis after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Kyriakos Papoutsakos in Porto Leone's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Minas Zouganelis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kyriakos Papoutsakos came out and tried to block the shot, but Minas Zouganelis slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 93rd minute. After 98 minutes of play, Porto Leone's Vaggelis Kostakis made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michalis Krassanakis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vaḯtsia BC played a much better game than Porto Leone and deserved their victory. The Porto Leone players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
