In the 4th minute, Trifon Arnidis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kostefαnou fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 13th minute, Nektarios Kallioras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Dhiafαnion's goal looked a bit too open when Trifon Sapounakis came free, but Aggelos Paparas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Kostefαnou booed when Dhiafαnion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vassilis Dabizas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Trifon Sapounakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dhiafαnion's Akis Kouloucheris got his second yellow card of the match in the 26th minute. The referee ordered Akis Kouloucheris off the ground. Akis Kouloucheris kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Trifon Sapounakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kostefαnou's zone, Christos Papaggelatos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michalis Faniadis came out of the goal and Christos Papaggelatos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Vassilis Dabizas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Dhiafαnion defense, Trifon Sapounakis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aggelos Paparas. The Dhiafαnion fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aggelos Paparas should have stopped the shot. Aggelos Paparas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trifon Arnidis in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Christos Papaggelatos made a precise shot to the right of Michalis Faniadis. Kostefαnou's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Trifon Sapounakis to make the kick off. Aggelos Paparas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trifon Sapounakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Christos Papaggelatos made a precise shot to the right of Michalis Faniadis. Kostefαnou's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Michalis Faniadis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Aggelos Paparas was a little too slow when Trifon Sapounakis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 3-3. Aggelos Paparas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trifon Sapounakis in the 84th minute of the match. Pantelis Stenos hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Zinon Maltezakis from long distance, 86 minutes into the match, got Aggelos Paparas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 88th match minute, Kostefαnou was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alekos Argyriou to maneuver through the defense. If Trifon Arnidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
