Dimitris Tsebelis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolos Adamos in the 27th minute of play forced Thanasaiika BC's goalkeeper Dimitris Tsebelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Eleftherios Toskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, Thanasaiika BC's goal looked a bit too open when Apostolos Adamos came free, but Dimitris Tsebelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dimitris Tsebelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apostolos Adamos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute of the match, Apostolos Adamos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dimitris Tsebelis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Iason Patistas scored 2-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimitris Tsebelis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Karaïskákis's Apostolos Adamos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dimitris Tsebelis. That made the score 3-1 after 48 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When Apostolos Adamos came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Karaïskákis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apostolos Adamos couldn't finish the play. Dimitris Tsebelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apostolos Adamos in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Apostolos Adamos in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dimitris Tsebelis saved Thanasaiika BC from getting behind. Vaggelis Kaloumenos charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vaggelis Kaloumenos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, Ermis Kiskabanis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giorgos Gitsis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dimitris Tsebelis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Apostolos Adamos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Tsebelis having to interfere. Karaïskákis's Giorgos Gitsis got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dimitris Tsebelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giorgos Gitsis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Iason Patistas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giorgos Gitsis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Tsebelis having to interfere. Karaïskákis's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
