After 7 played minutes Vovousa FC got a freekick which was hit by Ermis Kalakos. Nikos Galitsios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Viktoras Fotopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zinon Orfaniotis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanos Soulogiannis, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vovousa FC's zone, Nikos Galitsios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktoras Fotopoulos came out of the goal and Nikos Galitsios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Lippa getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nikos Galitsios hit a great ball. Lippa's Zinon Orfaniotis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Soulogiannis in the 22nd minute of play. Chatziioannou Mouratidis made a great header on Vovousa FC's corner, it was just that Lippa's Zinon Orfaniotis managed to reach the ball for a save. When Stathis Negris fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lippa's protests and gave Stathis Negris a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, one of Lippa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lippa. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Vovousa FC. Chatziioannou Mouratidis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zinon Orfaniotis. 1-0. In the 28th minute, Vassilis Valsamakis made a precise shot to the right of Viktoras Fotopoulos. Vovousa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Thanos Soulogiannis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanos Soulogiannis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zinon Orfaniotis having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikos Galitsios to strike the kick off in the second half. Nikos Galitsios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute, Thanos Soulogiannis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zinon Orfaniotis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Vassilis Valsamakis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Viktoras Fotopoulos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vassilis Valsamakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Vovousa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Pikrakis to maneuver through the defense. Lippa's Viktoras Mastoras couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vovousa FC. Viktoras Fotopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Galitsios in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Efthimis Kessaris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nikos Galitsios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Vovousa FC's Viktoras Fotopoulos got control of the ball when Vassilis Valsamakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vovousa FC's Viktoras Fotopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Vovousa FC from getting a goal against them. If Nikos Galitsios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Vassilis Valsamakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Viktoras Fotopoulos was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The Vovousa FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
