Geroplátanos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Playiárion FC the free kick. Giorgos Pinezas kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Geroplátanos getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Omiros Kechribaris hit a great ball. Nestoras Kousouridis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iraklis Evaggellatos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Playiárion FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgos Pinezas came free, but Giorgos Anastasiadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignatios Karipidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Anastasiadis having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giorgos Pinezas in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giorgos Anastasiadis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ntinos Zarkadis during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, one of Playiárion FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Playiárion FC. Demis Seletopoulos walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Ignatios Karipidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignatios Karipidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ignatios Karipidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Anastasiadis having to interfere. Playiárion FC's Theocharis Kalevras got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Giorgos Pinezas in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignatios Karipidis in the 41st minute of play forced Playiárion FC's goalkeeper Giorgos Anastasiadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Fotis Papaevaggelou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geroplátanos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Playiárion FC the free kick. In the 46th minute, Fotis Papaevaggelou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Theocharis Kalevras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Nestoras Kousouridis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iraklis Evaggellatos made a kick off. If Iraklis Evaggellatos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giorgos Anastasiadis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aris Pappagiorgas. Miltos Tsoulkas kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Giorgos Pinezas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgos Anastasiadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes, Geroplátanos's Ntinos Sapounas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Giorgos Anastasiadis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Geroplátanos reached it. Ignatios Karipidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giorgos Anastasiadis made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ignatios Krios sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Geroplátanos booed when Playiárion FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timos Kouroupakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sotiris Tsiabras kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Nestoras Kousouridis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theocharis Kalevras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Playiárion FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Giorgos Pinezas scored to the left of an out of position Giorgos Anastasiadis, making the score, 0-1. Giorgos Pinezas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geroplátanos's Giorgos Pinezas suffered a fractured collar bone after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ntinos Zarkadis got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 84 played minutes Playiárion FC got a freekick which was hit by Ntinos Zarkadis. A collision led to Playiárion FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Timos Kouroupakis hit a great ball. If Omiros Kechribaris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geroplátanos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
