After some careless play in the Bαpes BC defense, Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theocharis Krigos. The Bαpes BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theocharis Krigos should have stopped the shot. Theocharis Krigos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theocharis Bibilas, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Sakis Zintanidis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dimos Katsouranis. PAO Verias f.c.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16thth minute of the game Stergios Amanatidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bαpes BC's Theocharis Krigos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PAO Verias f.c.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. PAO Verias f.c.'s Stergios Amanatidis got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Bαpes BC's Nikos Charisteas got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bαpes BC's zone, Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theocharis Krigos came out of the goal and Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Theocharis Bibilas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes PAO Verias f.c. got a freekick which was hit by Stergios Amanatidis. When Theocharis Bibilas came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the PAO Verias f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theocharis Bibilas couldn't finish the play. Theocharis Bibilas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theocharis Krigos having to interfere. Thanasis Kavazis struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Theocharis Krigos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PAO Verias f.c.. When Thanasis Kavazis came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the PAO Verias f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thanasis Kavazis couldn't finish the play. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos scored 0-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theocharis Krigos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vaios Karagiannidis to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marinos Apostolakos in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimos Katsouranis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dimos Katsouranis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaios Karagiannidis in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute, PAO Verias f.c.'s Thanasis Kavazis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Bαpes BC's Theocharis Krigos got control of the ball when Marinos Karidas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanasis Kavazis struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Theocharis Krigos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. After a rather tough play, Bαpes BC's Sakis Zintanidis got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Isidoros Tsiantakis fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bαpes BC's protests and gave Isidoros Tsiantakis a yellow card for diving instead. Isidoros Tsiantakis hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Stergios Amanatidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th minute, Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 86th minute, Theocharis Bibilas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theocharis Bibilas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bαpes BC's goalkeeper Theocharis Krigos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as PAO Verias f.c.'s Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Theocharis Krigos. That made the score 0-7 after 96 minutes of play. PAO Verias f.c.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
