The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Thanasis Kavazis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Romanos's goalkeeper Stamatis Christopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Theocharis Bibilas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos in the 12th minute of play forced Romanos's goalkeeper Stamatis Christopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theocharis Bibilas struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Stamatis Christopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PAO Verias f.c.. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stamatis Christopoulos. Stamatis Christopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanasis Kavazis kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. PAO Verias f.c.'s Theocharis Bibilas got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 29 minutes into the match, Romanos's goal looked a bit too open when Theocharis Bibilas came free, but Stamatis Christopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lakis Pagopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The PAO Verias f.c. fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when PAO Verias f.c.'s Thanasis Kavazis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alkis Gekas kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stergios Amanatidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Stamatis Christopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stergios Amanatidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half PAO Verias f.c. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos made a kick off. Vaggelis Karydas hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PAO Verias f.c.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Stamatis Christopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stamatis Christopoulos having to make a save. 72 minutes into the game, Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stamatis Christopoulos. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Romanos's zone, Achilleas Sgouros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stamatis Christopoulos came out of the goal and Achilleas Sgouros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theocharis Bibilas in the 91st minute of play forced Romanos's goalkeeper Stamatis Christopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanasis Kavazis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marinos Karidas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stamatis Christopoulos having to interfere. The Romanos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. PAO Verias f.c. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
