In the 4th minute of the match Panos Koutsoukos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marios Karagiorgis skillfully saved the ball. When Fondas Kolomitrousis fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arνni FC's protests and gave Fondas Kolomitrousis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Arνni FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fondas Kolomitrousis to maneuver through the defense. Vladimiros Toulipas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 16 minutes into the match, Polνskion FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manos Mantalakis came free, but Marios Karagiorgis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efthimis Kalketenidis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marios Karagiorgis came out and tried to block the shot, but Efthimis Kalketenidis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Efthimis Kalketenidis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marios Karagiorgis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Efthimis Kalketenidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marios Karagiorgis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Polνskion FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Stamatellis to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Polνskion FC's goalkeeper Marios Karagiorgis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Arνni FC got a freekick which was hit by Fondas Kolomitrousis. In the 41st minute Polνskion FC were awarded a corner. Panos Stamatellis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Polνskion FC's Panos Stamatellis to fire away a dangerous shot which Antonis Vdelas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Vladimiros Toulipas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manos Mantalakis to make the kick off. Marios Karagiorgis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efthimis Kalketenidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Polνskion FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manos Mantalakis came free, but Marios Karagiorgis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dimitris Telakoglou's shot from long distance in the 61st minute was not bad at all, but Arνni FC's Antonis Vdelas knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Efthimis Kalketenidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manos Mantalakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marios Karagiorgis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manos Mantalakis ran back to his position shaking his head. Marios Karagiorgis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efthimis Kalketenidis in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Manos Mantalakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arνni FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manos Mantalakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marios Karagiorgis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Polνskion FC's Isidoros Komaitis got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some careless play in the Polνskion FC defense, Manos Mantalakis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marios Karagiorgis. The Polνskion FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marios Karagiorgis should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute Efthimis Kalketenidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marios Karagiorgis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manos Mantalakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marios Karagiorgis having to interfere. Arνni FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
