In the 7th minute Kostas Kaltsas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paschalis Nikolaidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Kallithea FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Iason Varkaris hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Alexis Tsevas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Zacharias Sfakianos's late challenge caught a Kallithea FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zacharias Sfakianos helped the player get up and apologised. Pantelis Patziaras struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Alexis Tsevas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kallithea FC. In the 22nd minute, Kyriakos Abelas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marinos Kouvelis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A.P.O PERAMAIKOS were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Kallithea FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stergios Chatzakos took the corner. The corner led A.P.O PERAMAIKOS's Stergios Chatzakos to fire away a dangerous shot which Paschalis Nikolaidis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Nontas Kanatidis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexis Tsevas skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Kallithea FC booed when A.P.O PERAMAIKOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iason Koubaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kallithea FC's Kyriakos Abelas couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for A.P.O PERAMAIKOS. After having played for 68 minutes, Giorgos Maltezakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kallithea FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giorgos Maltezakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to A.P.O PERAMAIKOS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Zacharias Sfakianos hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Kallithea FC's Kyriakos Abelas tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Giorgos Maltezakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Giorgos Maltezakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kallithea FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Giorgos Maltezakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexis Tsevas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giorgos Maltezakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pantelis Patziaras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexis Tsevas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pantelis Patziaras in the 91st minute of play forced A.P.O PERAMAIKOS's goalkeeper Alexis Tsevas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Giorgos Maltezakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pantelis Patziaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Alexis Tsevas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kostas Kaltsas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A.P.O PERAMAIKOS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Kallithea FC's much stronger midfield.
