Renos Tatsidis made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Grigoris Kyrgiakos sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute Theofanis Markopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Lygos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Theofanis Markopoulos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Aiolikos FC's Thanasis Lygos. Thanasis Lygos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grigoris Kyrgiakos got free with Renos Tatsidis in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chaïdeftó FC's goalkeeper Renos Tatsidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vassilis Skandalidis in the 22nd minute of play forced Chaïdeftó FC's goalkeeper Renos Tatsidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Vassilis Skandalidis made a precise shot to the right of Renos Tatsidis. Chaïdeftó FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Renos Tatsidis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Chaïdeftó FC's Renos Tatsidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Chaïdeftó FC from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the match, Chaïdeftó FC's goalkeeper Renos Tatsidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grigoris Kyrgiakos.

The wind increased when Theofanis Markopoulos made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Vaggelis Zacharoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chaïdeftó FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaggelis Zacharoulis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aiolikos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Panos Giotakis in the 61st minute. The supporters of Chaïdeftó FC booed when Aiolikos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panos Giotakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanasis Lygos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Christos Kokkinos. After 68 minutes, Sakis Tsoutsikas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aiolikos FC and the Chaïdeftó FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Aiolikos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valerios Xenidis to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the game, Periklis Choutos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaïdeftó FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aiolikos FC the free kick. After 75 played minutes Chaïdeftó FC got a freekick which was hit by Periklis Choutos. When Aiolikos FC's Vassilis Skandalidis in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Christos Kokkinos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Grigoris Kyrgiakos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renos Tatsidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Periklis Choutos kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. There was no doubt that Aiolikos FC were the better team. Aiolikos FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
