Antonis Sakalakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Antonis Sakalakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Karagiotakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Smardhαktion BC's goalkeeper Antonis Sakalakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Giorgos Kareklas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaggelos Karmiris having to interfere. Evaggelos Karmiris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aris Tsioublekos in the 27th minute. If Panos Karagiotakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panos Daniilidis kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Panos Karagiotakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonis Sakalakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Nontas Natsouras hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Evaggelos Karmiris was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Giorgos Kareklas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 39 minute of play. When Panos Karagiotakis came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the wolf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panos Karagiotakis couldn't finish the play. Evaggelos Karmiris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aris Tsioublekos in the 48th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Timos Nalitzis made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Smardhαktion BC's zone, Panos Karagiotakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonis Sakalakis came out of the goal and Panos Karagiotakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of wolf booed when Smardhαktion BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Kolovos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 minutes Smardhαktion BC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nontas Natsouras who took care of the corner kick. Evaggelos Karmiris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Kareklas in the 68th minute of play. Antonis Sakalakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Panos Karagiotakis went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Kareklas in the 79th minute of play forced wolf's goalkeeper Evaggelos Karmiris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giorgos Kareklas scored 2-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evaggelos Karmiris, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Despite being the better team, Smardhαktion BC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
