Spectators: 7378 (Terracing: 5658, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 120) AEK FC's Charis Martis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Smardhαktion BC's goalkeeper Antonis Sakalakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kyriakos Papakrivopoulos. In the 7th minute, Giorgos Kareklas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Smardhαktion BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With an all-out effort, AEK FC's Antonis Sakalakis threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Charis Martis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 13th minute of the match Lakis Chatzipetrou shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zisis Berzovitis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. AEK FC's Zisis Berzovitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Kareklas in the 14th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Giorgos Kareklas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zisis Berzovitis was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Aris Tsioublekos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zisis Berzovitis having to interfere. 21 minutes in the game, Charis Martis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Antonis Sakalakis having to interfere. If Giorgos Kareklas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AEK FC's Zisis Berzovitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Daniilidis in the 27th minute of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Aris Tsioublekos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AEK FC's Zisis Berzovitis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Smardhαktion BC's goal looked a bit too open when Charis Martis came free, but Antonis Sakalakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aris Tsioublekos struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Zisis Berzovitis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smardhαktion BC. In the 44th minute, Charis Martis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Antonis Sakalakis. The goal made the score 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, AEK FC's Lambis Sapounidis got a free kick in the 51st minute. Charis Martis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexis Kolovos kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Charis Martis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kyriakos Papakrivopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kyriakos Papakrivopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Smardhαktion BC's Lakis Chatzipetrou shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zisis Berzovitis but with some difficulty. Aris Tsioublekos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Zisis Berzovitis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Nikolas Koukoulekis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AEK FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Smardhαktion BC the free kick. 82 minutes into the game, Charis Martis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Antonis Sakalakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thalis Korellas kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Aris Tsioublekos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giorgos Kareklas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zisis Berzovitis having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Smardhαktion BC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AEK FC.
