Christos Akrividis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kostas Venetidis firmly grabbed it by the left post. Iraklis Ntalakos hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Christos Akrividis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bιrnitsa BC reached it. Kostas Venetidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fotis Siobolos in the 27th minute of the match. Demis Theofilidis's late challenge caught a Bιrnitsa BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Demis Theofilidis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, A.O A.E.K SYROY's Demis Theofilidis got a free kick in the 38th minute. A.O A.E.K SYROY's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Thanasis Kallergis scored to the left of an out of position Kostas Venetidis, making the score, 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Panos Prekkas to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Zinon Tavlaridis managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when A.O A.E.K SYROY's Panos Prekkas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Christos Akrividis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bιrnitsa BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christos Akrividis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kostas Venetidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fotis Siobolos in the 68th minute of play forced A.O A.E.K SYROY's goalkeeper Kostas Venetidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panos Prekkas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Zinon Tavlaridis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Panos Prekkas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.O A.E.K SYROY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panos Prekkas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Viktoras Boulougouris kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, A.O A.E.K SYROY's goal looked a bit too open when Christos Akrividis came free, but Kostas Venetidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Panos Prekkas came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the A.O A.E.K SYROY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panos Prekkas couldn't finish the play. Bιrnitsa BC's Zinon Tavlaridis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Bιrnitsa BC from getting a goal against them. Zinon Tavlaridis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panos Prekkas in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bιrnitsa BC had won after a very even match.
