The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes, OSFP FC's Akis Skebis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Konstantinos Fotakoglou came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in OSFP FC reached it. Konstantinos Fotakoglou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trifon Karaflas's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trifon Karaflas in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Konstantinos Fotakoglou saved Metallνa BC from getting behind. After 11 played minutes Metallνa BC got a freekick which was hit by Giorgos Arnidis. Trifon Karaflas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Konstantinos Fotakoglou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlassis Saltamaras in the 14th minute of play forced Metallνa BC's goalkeeper Konstantinos Fotakoglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demis Trabakoulos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kleanthis Symeonatos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kleanthis Symeonatos in the 23rd minute of play forced OSFP FC's goalkeeper Demis Trabakoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kleanthis Symeonatos was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Konstantinos Fotakoglou managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when OSFP FC's Vlassis Saltamaras fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Konstantinos Fotakoglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trifon Karaflas, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute Kleanthis Symeonatos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demis Trabakoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to OSFP FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Diogenis Lekkas hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Trifon Karaflas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantinos Fotakoglou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Diogenis Lekkas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Konstantinos Fotakoglou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kleanthis Symeonatos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Demis Trabakoulos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. The referee ignored OSFP FC's protests and gave Iosif Tserevelakis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th match minute, OSFP FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iosif Tserevelakis to maneuver through the defense. When Vlassis Saltamaras fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
