Nestoras Maras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 12th minute Juan Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spyros Sardelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestoras Maras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marios Sferas in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Spiliaνs BC's Ntinos Nikolaidis got a free kick in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Castellini in the 25th minute of play forced Meletiakos F.C.'s goalkeeper Spyros Sardelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Charilaos Kortzidis in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Meletiakos F.C.'s Giorgos Rapanos. In the 35th minute, Franco Castellini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spiliaνs BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 37th minute, Franco Castellini had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Giorgos Rapanos's late challenge caught a Spiliaνs BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgos Rapanos helped the player get up and apologised. Giorgos Rapanos hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Baykal Aksoy scored 1-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Spyros Sardelis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Meletiakos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dimitris Tochouroglou came free, but Spyros Sardelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Miltiadis Simeonidis made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Iason Makris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimitris Tochouroglou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aggelos Pagakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nestoras Maras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Spiliaνs BC's goal looked a bit too open when Marios Sferas came free, but Nestoras Maras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Spiliaνs BC's zone, Marios Sferas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestoras Maras came out of the goal and Marios Sferas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Meletiakos F.C.'s Spyros Sardelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Montes in the 74th minute of play. Spyros Sardelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miltiadis Simeonidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Miltiadis Simeonidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spyros Sardelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Juan Montes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Meletiakos F.C.'s Lambis Kouromichelakis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Spyros Sardelis made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Dimitris Tochouroglou sent off a good shot on target.
