The supporters of Katsipσdhion FC booed when Shamrockers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitris Spiliopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Katsipσdhion FC's Stefanos Gitsis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aggelos Thomaidis but with some difficulty. After 41 played minutes Katsipσdhion FC got a freekick which was hit by Konstantinos Pagias. In the 46th minute, one of Shamrockers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shamrockers FC. The goalkeeper, Aggelos Thomaidis, was totally fooled by Katsipσdhion FC's Stefanos Gitsis, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fanis Giotas to make the kick off. Shamrockers FC's Aggelos Thomaidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alkis Taktikos in the 54th minute of play. If Vassilis Diamantopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Shamrockers FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Katsipσdhion FC.
