After 23 minutes, Nikos Manesis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Doοranlν and the Panetolikos players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had been going on for 24 minutes, Panetolikos's Chatziantoniou Kolokithopoulos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Thomas Georgas. Babbis Charakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Kyriakos Skoulikas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Babbis Charakis in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kyriakos Skoulikas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Panetolikos's zone, Paraskevas Moschonas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kyriakos Skoulikas came out of the goal and Paraskevas Moschonas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Thomas Georgas managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Panetolikos's Prokopis Maggioros fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paraskevas Moschonas to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Telis Macheridis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panetolikos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telis Macheridis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Thomas Kanavatsos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Doοranlν's goal looked a bit too open when Prokopis Maggioros came free, but Thomas Georgas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Doοranlν was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavlos Ochtaras to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Panetolikos's Giorgos Vardis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Babbis Charakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doοranlν's supporters rose to their feet, but Babbis Charakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kyriakos Skoulikas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Giorgos Vardis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 86 played minutes Doοranlν got a freekick which was hit by Pavlos Ochtaras. Giorgos Vardis charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Panetolikos's Kyriakos Skoulikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paraskevas Moschonas in the 95th minute of play. Panetolikos were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Doοranlν for a fine match.
