Koupaki BC's Lakis Papafotiou got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Vladimiros Bantras notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Koupaki BC's Kyriakos Thanoglou. Kyriakos Thanoglou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Giotis Faniadis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Louis Giannakakos went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Vladimiros Bantras managed to get in a good position for a shot. PANIONIOS GSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Vladimiros Bantras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kyriakos Thanoglou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kyriakos Thanoglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiros Bantras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stavros Koukos made a kick off. Lakis Papafotiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giotis Faniadis having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Louis Giannakakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Vladimiros Bantras came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the PANIONIOS GSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimiros Bantras couldn't finish the play. Stavros Koukos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Koupaki BC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! Evripidis Mantarinis's late challenge caught a PANIONIOS GSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evripidis Mantarinis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Evripidis Mantarinis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stavros Koukos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kyriakos Thanoglou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Stavros Koukos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyriakos Thanoglou having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Vladimiros Bantras could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Kyriakos Thanoglou however easily saved by the left post. Louis Giannakakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Giotis Faniadis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded PANIONIOS GSS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Koupaki BC.
