The referee ignored Sandhαli BC's protests and gave Giorgos Vogiatzis a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Sandhαli BC got a freekick which was hit by Giorgos Vogiatzis. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Babbis Ligouras to strike the kick off in the second half. Giannis Chatzipetris stood somewhat misplaced when Paris Kassiantidis came free in front of goal and shot 1-6 to the left of him in the 76 minute. After a rather tough play, Golden Eagle FC's Evaggelos Bartzokas got a free kick in the 85th minute. The audience was convinced that Paris Kassiantidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giannis Chatzipetris was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After 88 minutes, Kyriakos Gryparis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sandhαli BC and the Golden Eagle FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
