The supporters of Arνni FC booed when Glikoneri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stergios Katsadouros didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Arνni FC's goalkeeper Alexis Vamvakas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ntinos Agapidis. If Ntinos Agapidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ntinos Agapidis struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Alexis Vamvakas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glikoneri. 24 minutes into the match, Takis Trichias notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Glikoneri's Ntinos Tselios. Ntinos Tselios was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arνni FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Ntinos Agapidis scored to the left of an out of position Alexis Vamvakas, making the score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Takis Trichias in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ntinos Tselios prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the match, Glikoneri's goal looked a bit too open when Takis Trichias came free, but Ntinos Tselios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ntinos Agapidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Takis Trichias to make the kick off. After 57 played minutes Arνni FC got a freekick which was hit by Timos Panakis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ntinos Agapidis in the 58th minute of play forced Arνni FC's goalkeeper Alexis Vamvakas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute Takis Trichias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ntinos Tselios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pantelis Softis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Ntinos Agapidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexis Vamvakas was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arνni FC's goalkeeper Alexis Vamvakas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Glikoneri fans cheered their team off the field, for while Arνni FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
