In the 2nd minute Orestis Kousounadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostolos Serpanos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4thth minute of the game Babbis Kioutsoukalis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Age Of Empires's Akis Simeonidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Petrνlon FC booed when Age Of Empires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veniamin Mavrostomos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Veniamin Mavrostomos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes, Petrνlon FC's Timos Semertzidis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Akis Simeonidis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Petrνlon FC reached it. 13 minutes into the match, Babbis Kioutsoukalis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Akis Simeonidis. Age Of Empires's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Babbis Kioutsoukalis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Babbis Kioutsoukalis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akis Simeonidis having to interfere. After some careless play in the Petrνlon FC defense, Sotiris Kazanis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apostolos Serpanos. The Petrνlon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apostolos Serpanos should have stopped the shot. Apostolos Serpanos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orestis Kousounadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Apostolos Serpanos came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Age Of Empires's Sotiris Kazanis. But to his dismay, Sotiris Kazanis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Sotiris Kazanis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Apostolos Serpanos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Age Of Empires's Sotiris Kazanis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apostolos Serpanos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Akis Simeonidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaggelis Pantaleon, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Apostolos Serpanos made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Sotiris Kazanis sent off a good shot on target. Petrνlon FC's Apostolos Serpanos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Petrνlon FC from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Chatziioannou Nothos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Akis Simeonidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babbis Kioutsoukalis in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Timos Semertzidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 58 minutes, Orestis Kousounadis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Age Of Empires's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orestis Kousounadis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sotiris Kazanis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Petrνlon FC's Vaggelis Pantaleon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Akis Simeonidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 64 minutes, Chatziioannou Nothos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Age Of Empires and the Petrνlon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th minute, Chatziioannou Nothos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaggelis Pantaleon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Age Of Empires's Akis Simeonidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babbis Kioutsoukalis in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Sotiris Kazanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostolos Serpanos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petrνlon FC's Apostolos Serpanos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orestis Kousounadis in the 72nd minute of play. In the 79th minute, Babbis Kioutsoukalis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Apostolos Serpanos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sotiris Kazanis's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Panos Giantzis during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Panos Giantzis kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Apostolos Serpanos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orestis Kousounadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotiris Kazanis in the 95th minute of play forced Petrνlon FC's goalkeeper Apostolos Serpanos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Age Of Empires's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
