But to his dismay, Manos Topalidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. ATHINAIKOS F.C.'s Chatziantoniou Migiakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iason Maras in the 26th minute of play. Orestis Adamakis kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Chatziantoniou Migiakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fanis Totsis in the 34th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paris Tsolakopoulos was the one to do the kick off. Petros Karataidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paris Tsolakopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chatziantoniou Migiakis was a little too slow when Christos Pathiakakis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-3. Christos Moustakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Karataidis having to interfere. Antonis Stratidis hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Periklis Varvouzanis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chatziantoniou Migiakis. ATHINAIKOS F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
