After having played for 8 minutes, Iason Maras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Méga Peristéri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iason Maras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thomas Aggelidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petros Karataidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Periklis Varvouzanis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Méga Peristéri and the Vrisokhσrion players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Méga Peristéri:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vrisokhσrion:s goal. Christos Mentis shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Aggelidis in the 22nd minute of play forced Méga Peristéri's goalkeeper Petros Karataidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Méga Peristéri's Giannis Chrysafis got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Louis Koumarianos charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Louis Koumarianos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Méga Peristéri booed when Vrisokhσrion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis Koumarianos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Periklis Varvouzanis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giannis Fyssas skillfully saved the ball. Thomas Salemenidis kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Christos Pathiakakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giannis Fyssas having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Thomas Aggelidis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Petros Karataidis, 1-0. 37 minutes into the match, Méga Peristéri's goalkeeper Petros Karataidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orestis Tassiou. Thomas Aggelidis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Thomas Aggelidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Karataidis having to interfere. The supporters of Vrisokhσrion booed when Méga Peristéri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyriakos Ioannou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vrisokhσrion's Christos Mentis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Méga Peristéri. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomas Aggelidis made a kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Méga Peristéri's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Aggelidis came free, but Petros Karataidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Méga Peristéri getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Fanis Totsis hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes, Vrisokhσrion's Christos Mentis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Petros Karataidis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vrisokhσrion reached it. 70 minutes into the game, Thomas Aggelidis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Petros Karataidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Vrisokhσrion's Giannis Fyssas got control of the ball when Iason Maras tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christos Pathiakakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giannis Fyssas having to interfere. In the 85th minute Thomas Aggelidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petros Karataidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Aggelidis struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Petros Karataidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vrisokhσrion. Orestis Tassiou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Iason Maras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Méga Peristéri's supporters rose to their feet, but Iason Maras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giannis Fyssas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
