In the 23rd minute Fotis Rousseas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lambis Konidakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zacharias Dimakos in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lambis Konidakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fotis Rousseas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lambis Konidakis having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Nestoras Kapetanos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Fotis Rousseas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lambis Konidakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 36th minute, Zacharias Dimakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Fotis Rousseas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Lambis Konidakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anestis Saltiris hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Vaggelis Robolas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Zacharias Dimakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Lambis Konidakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christos Peppas made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacharias Dimakos in the 53rd minute of play forced LEICESTER-CITY's goalkeeper Lambis Konidakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Fotis Rousseas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elefthéri's supporters rose to their feet, but Fotis Rousseas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lambis Konidakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 60 minutes, Fotis Rousseas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elefthéri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fotis Rousseas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, LEICESTER-CITY's goal looked a bit too open when Zacharias Dimakos came free, but Lambis Konidakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zacharias Dimakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 77 minutes into the match, LEICESTER-CITY's goalkeeper Lambis Konidakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fotis Rousseas. Zacharias Dimakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind LEICESTER-CITY's goalkeeper Lambis Konidakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Fotis Rousseas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elefthéri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Fotis Rousseas came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lambis Konidakis could save by the left post. When Ntinos Vourexakis fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elefthéri's protests and gave Ntinos Vourexakis a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Elefthéri's Ntinos Vourexakis got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Christos Peppas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christos Peppas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
