Zoryiani's Pipis Nestoriou suffered a sore thigh after 2 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Manos Peppes's late challenge caught a Zoryiani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manos Peppes helped the player get up and apologised. Argyris Rapanakis struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Giorgos Kouveliotis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sfνna FC. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alex Paganelli sped through Zoryiani's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Giorgos Kouveliotis. Stavros Papadamakis hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Pantelis Prasanakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sfνna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pantelis Prasanakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Antonis Tirogalos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paraskevas Kanellopoulos. Sfνna FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonis Tirogalos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 27th minute Thomas Dadamis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paraskevas Kanellopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giorgos Kouveliotis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Paganelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Argyris Rapanakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sfνna FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When Thomas Dadamis came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Zoryiani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Dadamis couldn't finish the play. The Zoryiani players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sfνna FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Argyris Rapanakis was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Zoryiani got a freekick which was hit by Stavros Papadamakis. After 53rd play minutes Argyris Rapanakis shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Giorgos Kouveliotis and just under the crossbar into goal. Alex Paganelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Kouveliotis having to interfere. Antonis Tirogalos got in the 59th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Paraskevas Kanellopoulos handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Lefteris Renieris charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lefteris Renieris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sfνna FC's Lefteris Renieris got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rd match minute, Zoryiani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonis Tirogalos to maneuver through the defense. If Thomas Dadamis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paraskevas Kanellopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Dadamis in the 66th minute of play. Thomas Dadamis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paraskevas Kanellopoulos having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Antonis Tirogalos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zoryiani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sfνna FC the free kick. Thanks to some nice moves Argyris Rapanakis could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Giorgos Kouveliotis however easily saved by the left post. Alex Paganelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Giorgos Kouveliotis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Paganelli couldn't finish the play. Argyris Rapanakiss short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Giorgos Kouveliotis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
