Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Makis Ikonomou successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. AEK FC's Lakis Stellatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinos Vokolos in the 14th minute of play. Namık Atabek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Makis Ikonomou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marinos Vokolos came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Aris FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marinos Vokolos couldn't finish the play. When Aris FC's Babbis Siozos in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AEK FC's goalie prevented a goal. Lakis Stellatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babbis Siozos, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Nikolas Karaflas hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Sabit Tarhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Makis Ikonomou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, AEK FC's Trifon Karastamatis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Trifon Karastamatis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AEK FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Trifon Karastamatis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ignatios Christodoulos walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 34 minutes into the game, John Starks cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Makis Ikonomou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giorgos Tsolakidis's late challenge caught a Aris FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgos Tsolakidis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Giorgos Tsolakidis hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Giorgos Tsolakidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giorgos Tsolakidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Makis Ikonomou. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giorgos Tsolakidis ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, Giorgos Tsolakidis notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Aris FC's Makis Ikonomou. Makis Ikonomou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Starks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. John Starks scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Makis Ikonomou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 57 minutes into the game, Ignatios Christodoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aris FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AEK FC the free kick. The supporters of AEK FC booed when Aris FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignatios Christodoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giorgos Tsolakidis struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Makis Ikonomou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEK FC. In the 65th minute Giorgos Tsolakidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Makis Ikonomou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Makis Ikonomou came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by AEK FC's Giorgos Tsolakidis. But to his dismay, Giorgos Tsolakidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After having played for 70 minutes, Giorgos Tsolakidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AEK FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giorgos Tsolakidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John Starks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. John Starks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Makis Ikonomou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Sabit Tarhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Makis Ikonomou having to interfere. If John Starks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Tsolakidis in the 92nd minute of play forced Aris FC's goalkeeper Makis Ikonomou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giorgos Tsolakidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabit Tarhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Makis Ikonomou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AEK FC fully deserved thier win.
