A collision led to Ida getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Vaggelis Mavroudis hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Charis Bollos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kostas Vallianos was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konstantinos Kakkos in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giorgos Kolitsidakis saved Ida from getting behind. Konstantinos Kakkos struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Giorgos Kolitsidakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ΜΑΥΡΗ ΘΥΕΛΛΑ syrou. Giorgos Kolitsidakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Vyntra in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Vyntra in the 25th minute of play forced Ida's goalkeeper Giorgos Kolitsidakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giannis Vakaloglou got free with Kostas Vallianos in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Giannis Vakaloglou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ida's supporters rose to their feet, but Giannis Vakaloglou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kostas Vallianos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nikos Vyntra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ida's zone, Konstantinos Kakkos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giorgos Kolitsidakis came out of the goal and Konstantinos Kakkos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Kyriakos Kostoulas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charis Bollos to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Ida's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantinos Kakkos came free, but Giorgos Kolitsidakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Giannis Vakaloglou left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ida fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Nikos Vyntra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Nikos Vyntra came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the ΜΑΥΡΗ ΘΥΕΛΛΑ syrou fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikos Vyntra couldn't finish the play. Ida's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
