The referee ignored Iliσrrachi BC's protests and gave Diogenis Papanastasiou a yellow card for diving instead. Spyros Konstantopoulos struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Antonis Nakos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. foinikas syrou f.c's Antonis Nakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kosmas Karfopoulos in the 31st minute of play. Antonis Nakos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spyros Konstantopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kosmas Karfopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dionysis Rafailakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giannis Kalioras made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Kosmas Karfopoulos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antonis Nakos. That made the score 0-3 in the 56 minute of play. Diogenis Papanastasiou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Antonis Nakos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, foinikas syrou f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Briakos to maneuver through the defense. Spyros Konstantopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonis Nakos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Antonis Nakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kosmas Karfopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Spyros Konstantopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Aggelos Tositsas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 90 minutes into the match.
