Stavros Panagakis charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stavros Panagakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stavros Panagakis kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Christoforos Kourkoulis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fondas Giaourtelis. Megara BC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Aggelos Kallivrousis notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Megara BC's Fondas Giaourtelis. Fondas Giaourtelis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Megara BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Babbis Terzis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 20 played minutes ΧΑΤΖΗΚΥΡΙΑΚΕΙΟ PIRAEUS got a freekick which was hit by Nikos Skondras. In the 21st minute, Koulis Dentzas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ercan Beyhan. The goal made the score 1-2. Ercan Beyhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Koulis Dentzas in the 28th minute of the match. Fondas Giaourtelis came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by ΧΑΤΖΗΚΥΡΙΑΚΕΙΟ PIRAEUS's Babbis Terzis. But to his dismay, Babbis Terzis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 33 minutes into the match, ΧΑΤΖΗΚΥΡΙΑΚΕΙΟ PIRAEUS's goal looked a bit too open when Koulis Dentzas came free, but Ercan Beyhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Babbis Terzis hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Thrasivoulos Amanatidis charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thrasivoulos Amanatidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Megara BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thrasivoulos Amanatidis to maneuver through the defense. Megara BC's Fondas Giaourtelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babbis Terzis in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute Aggelos Kallivrousis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fondas Giaourtelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Megara BC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Stamatis Nebegleras hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aggelos Kallivrousis to strike the kick off in the second half. Eleftherios Koulakiotis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercan Beyhan having to interfere. Fondas Giaourtelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasilis Karapialis in the 55th minute of play. Megara BC's Fondas Giaourtelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aggelos Kallivrousis in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Koulis Dentzas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Megara BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. If Anestis Antonas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Koulis Dentzas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ercan Beyhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fondas Giaourtelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babbis Terzis, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Charis Veletzas lost his temper 84 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Megara BC's Koulis Dentzas got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ercan Beyhan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ΧΑΤΖΗΚΥΡΙΑΚΕΙΟ PIRAEUS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
