Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Makis Karantasios's late challenge caught a Rodhopσs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Makis Karantasios helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, Avgonyma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Makis Karantasios to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rodhopσs's zone, Anestis Mendrinos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordanis Leontarakis came out of the goal and Anestis Mendrinos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Stavros Koutetes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avgonyma's supporters rose to their feet, but Stavros Koutetes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iordanis Leontarakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Avgonyma booed when Rodhopσs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stathis Tziolas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Iordanis Leontarakis throw himself and got hold of the ball when Anestis Mendrinos in the 24thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Stavros Koutetes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Iordanis Leontarakis made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Avgonyma:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rodhopσs:s goal. Panos Karataidis shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Pipis Mouratis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sotiris Servetas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Victor Sandaili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Rodhopσs getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Giorgos Bosinakos hit a great ball. In the 46th minute of the match Stergios Aggelatos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iordanis Leontarakis skillfully saved the ball. The Avgonyma players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rodhopσs were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pipis Mouratis was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Anestis Mendrinos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avgonyma's supporters rose to their feet, but Anestis Mendrinos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iordanis Leontarakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 56 minutes of play, Avgonyma's Anestis Mendrinos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iordanis Leontarakis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antonis Iasonidis's late challenge caught a Rodhopσs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After 63 played minutes Avgonyma got a freekick which was hit by Antonis Iasonidis. Makis Karantasios got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Sotiris Servetas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Sandaili having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, one of Avgonyma:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pipis Mouratis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sotiris Servetas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pipis Mouratis in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Sandaili prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Pipis Mouratis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pipis Mouratis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Sandaili read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Sotiris Servetas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Sandaili was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Stavros Koutetes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rodhopσs had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
